Domain Name Registration Crossed 351.8 Million in First Quarter of 2019

The online business is taking high reach in the digital world. The number of domain name registration has crossed 351.8 million in the first quarter of 2019. The research compared to the fourth quarter that shut with 348.7 million.

Now, it has exceeded by 3.1 million in the quarter fist of 2019. It is considered that the domain name registration is growing at 5.4 percent per year.

 Domain Name with .COM and .NET Extension Increase at 1.2%

In the last quarter of 2018, the total domain name registration is counted as 153 million. This counting is increased by 1.2% in the first quarter of 2019. The total counting was considered as154.8 million at the end of the first quarter of 2019.

On an individual basis 141 million .COM domain name registered whereas 13.8 .NET domain name has registered at the end of the first quarter of 2019.

ccTLD Domain Name Registration

ccTLD domain name has also increased as compared to the last quarter to the first quarter. The research says that it has increased by 1.6% from Q4 2018. Now the Country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs) had a total number of 156.8 million domain name registrations it 2019.

Fall in the Registration of gTLD Domains

In the last quarter of 2018, the domain name was registered approximately 23.8 million. The registrations have decreased by 3.4% of gTLD domains, compared to last quarter of 2018. Now, the total domain name has registered at the end of the first quarter is 23 million.

.COM Domain Name is Highly Registered in the last Quarter of 2019

From the top 10 TLDs .COM, .CN (China), .TK (Tokelau),.DE (Germany), .NET, .UK (United Kingdom), .ORG, .TW (Taiwan), .NL (Netherlands), and .RU (Russian Federation). The .COM is the highly registered domain extension in the end of the first quarter of 2019. .COM is the extension which is mostly taken by the business. As the result shows that it is the most common domain extension.
