LogicBoxes Launches Free ICANN Accreditation Consulting

Consulting and software development company LogicBoxes (www.logicboxes.com) has launched a new initiative to allow large web service companies to leap frog their way into obtaining an ICANN accreditation without having to worry about the initial consultancy costs required.

According to LogicBoxes’ announcement last week at HostingCon 2009 in Washington DC, LogicBoxes’ new website Accreditation.com (www.accreditation.com), the exclusive portal for its ICANN accreditation consultancy services. LogicBoxes’ primary focus is on developing, deploying and managing products, services and business process automation solutions for the domain registration and web hosting industry.

“Despite the huge difference that an ICANN accreditation can make to any web service company’s brand and profitability, our research and experience show that they are unable to take the leap due to constraints of time and capital,” LogicBoxes chief executive officer Bhavin Turakhia said in a statement. “Now, with this exclusive free consultancy initiative, apart from not needing to invest any time, web service companies will also be able to fully recoup the consultancy costs they would have to incur to obtain accreditation.”

ICANN accreditation offers businesses cost savings over wholesale domains. For instance, the base cost for .com domains is 7.04, compared to the average wholesale cost of 8.74, however, the savings are more dramatic for .net, which is about 38 percent cheaper, and .info, which is nearly 70 percent cheaper. Also, the ICANN Accredited Registrar logo, which represents a sign of trust, stability and strength, offers consumer and industry recognition, as well as the distinction of being one of only about 150 active ICANN accredited registrars among the thousands of resellers worldwide.
