Carpathia Offers Hybrid Cloud Within Phoenix Facility

The addition of the managed cloud solutions adds to the range of services that the company already delivers in the data center, including colocation, bandwidth and managed services.
In the Phoenix facility, Carpathia Hosting will offer the first managed cloud designed for enterprises, which is already available in Carpathia’s Blue Ridge data center in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Carpathia Hosting first launched its “hybrid” cloud model, entitled AlwaysOn/InstantOn fully-managed enterprise cloud solution in June.
The solution offers a more consultative approach to managed hosting by letting customers seamlessly change their colocated or dedicated infrastructure with instantly available, shared-infrastructure.
The hybrid approach of pairing Carpathia’s cloud platform with colocation and managed services lets customers take advantage of the best attributes of each, without separating those technology solutions as many other cloud providers do.
“Enterprise customers in the Phoenix data center can now benefit from Carpathia’s cloud-based services without having to abandon their dedicated infrastructure,” says Philip Hedlund, general manager of Carpathia Hosting’s Phoenix data center. “Our approach allows them to have both, thus ensuring they don’t have to worry about weakening security orlowering availability.”
Carpathia’s cloud platform is used to deliver a number of data center optimizations services, including cloud bursting, elastic computing and disaster recovery solutions.
The Phoenix cloud deployment lets customers deliver these and other services with geographic diversity so customers can use Carpathia Hosting’s northern Virginia facilities as their primary data center, while using Phoenix as a disaster recovery location, or vice-versa.
